Readers' Choice Awards Contest Official Rules
A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of THE LEDGER-ENQUIRER, 17 West 12th Street- Columbus, GA 31902 during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
- 1. No purchase is necessary.
- 2.Must be 18 years or older to participate and win.
- 3. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of [THE LEDGER-ENQUIRER], participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members.
- 4. The contest will begin on May 8, 2011 and will run through June 1, 2011.
- 5. One entry will be selected to win a $250 gift certificate to their favorite business on June 2, 2011. The winner will be announced in the July special Readers’ Choice Section.
- 6. The Ledger-Enquirer reserves the right to change any of this promotion and or the promotional elements.
- 7. Readers can vote for their favorite businesses by casting their votes online at www.ledger-enquirer.com.com during the contest period. Entries must contain complete registration information, including a valid e-mail address. Entries with an invalid e-mail address will not be counted. One paper entry will run in the Ledger-Enquirer during the contest period.
- 8. Readers must place their vote in a minimum of 10 categories on each entry placed. Entries with less than 10 categories will not be counted.
- 9. On June 2, 2011, votes will counted and winners in each of the categories will be determined.
- 10. The Ledger-Enquirer will publish in the winners in a special section in late July.
- 11. Winners will be notified prior to the July special section date.
- 11. [THE LEDGER-ENQUIRER] shall not be responsible for the failure of entry forms reaching The Ledger-Enquirer.
- 12. All entrants and winners agree that [THE LEDGER-ENQUIRER] shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest.
- 13. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of The Ledger-Enquirer to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the company.
- 14. All entrants and winners agree that The Ledger-Enquirer may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason The Ledger-Enquirer deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold The Ledger-Enquirer blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
- 15. The Ledger-Enquirer reserves the right to end a contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public.
- 16. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for The Ledger-Enquirer to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of The Ledger-Enquirer, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
